‘Idiot with a gun’ shoots two kids, 6 and 9, on DC bus going home from school

Three individuals — including two primary school kids returning from school — were fired after a shooter released an assault on a Washington DC transport Wednesday.

The shooter was going for the gold, Head of Police Robert Contee said at a public interview following the 4 p.m. attack.

All things considered, a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old were shot, and a grown-up man was shot two times.

“A numbskull with a firearm fired it unpredictably and fired two kids,” City hall leader Muriel Bowser said.

“Understand what you’re doing when you’re six years of age? You’re shading in shading books, you’re playing spruce up with your kin, you’re hitting up birthday celebrations.

Contee said seven individuals surged onto the full Metro transport at a stop in the Brightwood area and started attacking one of the travelers.

The battle then spilled onto the walkway. One of the assaulters took out a weapon and started discharging.

The kids, who were joined by grown-ups, had simply left the transport when they were shot, Contee said. They ran once more into the vehicle and the transport driver drove the travelers to somewhere safe and secure.

The gathering of assaulters ran from the scene, police said. Their planned objective likewise left, however was seen as not a long way from the transport.
