Eight-member STF to look after cheetahs released in Kuno National Park

Bhopal, Sep 21 (IANS) Days after eight cheetahs were moved from Namibia to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno Public Park, an eight-part Exceptional Team (STF) of natural life authorities has been delegated by the Public Tiger Preservation Authority (NTCA) to care for the big felines, official sources told IANS on Wednesday.

The eight cheetahs are at present kept in a quarantine zone, which the NTCA proposed to the Madhya Pradesh timberland division through a request.

The eight-part STF will be going by Alok Kumar, previous Head Boss Conservator of Woodlands of Madhya Pradesh. Different individuals from the team incorporate Head Secretary (backwoods and the travel industry), and natural life specialists from the NTCA and Natural life Establishment of India (WII), the sources said.

“The STF has been given the obligation to guarantee the security of the recently presented cheetahs at Kuno Public Park. They will prescribe offices expected to guarantee the wellbeing of the cheetahs and submit reports to the NTCA,” sources said.

The cheetahs were delivered at Kuno Public Park by Top state leader Narendra Modi on September 17, which likewise turned out to be his birthday.
